However, it uses 3V logic and 12MHz clock. ![]() Even though you can program Trinket using the Arduino IDE, it's not a fully 100 Arduino-compatible. The Pro Trinket 3V uses the Atmega328P chip, which is the same core chip in the Arduino UNO/Duemilanove/Mini/etc. The 5V version can run at 8 MHz or at 16MHz by setting the software-set clock frequency. #include // Required for 16 MHz Adafruit TrinketĪdafruit_NeoPixel strip(LED_COUNT, LED_PIN, NEO_GRB + NEO_KHZ800) Use the 5V one for sensors and components that can use or require 5V logic. If you want to power another device that uses 5V and it just. If you want to power the trinket using a 5V power source, youll put it in there since its the positive terminal. It is just the positive terminal of the power rail. The power pin is not set to be an input or an output. It looks like the Arduino cant handle all 3 color in rgb set? You are thinking of the power pin in a digital manner. adafruitsupportbill Posts: 84207 Joined: Sat 9:11 am. A read through the Trinket Pro tutorial is a good place to start. And the rainbow funktion works perfectly too. But it is a different processor and there are some differences in programming. However when i only change it to one color (0, 0, 255), it works perfectly. When i set the color on all rgb (125, 146, 255) the programme crashes and restart again or sometimes its just stuck. I copied the colorWipe funktion from the Neopixel strandtest.
